Announcement:
Each year at Northstar, we recommend 3-4 books for our members and attenders to read during the year to help us grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ and challenge us in our obedience and encourage us in our mission.
Last year we encouraged people to read three books:
- Desiring God by John Piper
- Lifestyle Evangelism by Joe Aldrich
- Crazy Love by Francis Chan
This year, we want to encourage you to join the Staff and Admin teams in reading the following books:
- Monday Morning Church by Jerry Cook
- Chasing Daylight by Erwin McManus
- A Call to the Unconverted by Richard Baxter
Clicking on the titles of any of the books will take you to online stores where you can purchase them. If you have an iPad or Kindle device, the eBooks are a little cheaper (and A Call to the Unconverted is free in some places!) We also have a limited amount of copies available through the church for loan.
If you’d like to join us in another reading project, the Staff and Admin Team are also reading Transformational Church by Ed Stetzer.
Reading these books helps us think, challenges us in our growth together and helps us all “speak the same language” as we grow in discipleship and missional living.
