One of the great and unique aspects of living in a college town is a huge population of international students. Did you know that Virginia Tech alone hosts over 2,500 internationals from around the world at any given time?! Despite their time in America, 80 percent of these students will never step foot in an American home.
Through a partnership with the ministry of Bridges International, Northstar has the opportunity to build relationships and minister to these international students. Bridges helps match up an individual or family with an international to exchange language and culture.
As you build a relationship with an international student and help with their English conversation, it can also be a great platform for the Gospel. Many have been blessed through this ministry and we hope you will sign up to meet with a conversation partner.
