Northstar ReVerb Vision Casting

reverb logoAs we embark on the new school year I want to cast out our vision as Northstar ReVerb so that we can better serve each other this school year. We need encouragement and prayer as we charge forth into the 2016-2017 school year.

All of what we do as a ministry is to make Jesus known. We do our best to be workers of the Gospel by:

  • Love: Love occurs because of the Grace of God. Because of his love, the leaders of Reverb’s Youth Group desire to spend time with the youth and share their own lives with the students.

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34-45)

  • Reach: One of our goals as a ministry is to be able to reach the lost students of the New River Valley with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We understand that it is not by our power that people are saved, but only by the power of God. We want to be vessels of God’s word to the students of this area.
  • Renew: Our Sunday night group meetings serve the purpose of biblical teaching, intentional discipleship, and the renewal of mind each week. Our intentional discipleship comes from small groups at the end of each Sunday night group and throughout the week in the community.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12:2)

  • Revive: We understand that this area can only be reached by genuine love for God and love for others. As our overflow of God’s love shines through us, we begin to share the love of Christ in the gospel to our peers, enemies, and the people we do not even know. It is only through Jesus Christ that life can be obtained.

Will you join us in prayer and encouragement this school year? Pray that we are confident that our identity in Christ is the identity worth living out, for boldness to share Jesus in our walks of life, and for the wisdom to search deeper the truth of Jesus for our lives.
