Throughout 2016, Northstar Church became a congregation full of storytellers.
As we have studied the book of Acts, we have explored the story of the early church. We have embraced the idea that, as the church, that story continues 2,000 years later. And each of us, being a part of the church, have our own stories to tell.
We have heard stories from the stage on Sunday mornings. We have heard stories in living rooms during small group meetings. We have heard stories through video. We have read stories through blog posts and magazine articles. And those stories are touching people’s lives in ways that we cannot always see. Because in telling those stories, we are telling the story of Jesus.
When you share your story, you share how Jesus has touched your life. You share how God is molding and shaping you into the man or woman that He has designed you to be. You share how His Spirit is continuously at work in and around you. And each time you share your story, you draw others into a closer relationship with Him.
We are now looking ahead to 2017. And being a congregation of storytellers is something that we want to continue to encourage. Because God’s not done. Not by a long shot. He is still at work in each of our lives. And when He moves in your life, we want to hear about it.
So what’s your story? Make no mistake, you have a story. You’re encouraged to share your story here, on Northstar Church’s blog. If you want to write your story down, we want to read it. If you don’t consider yourself a writer, that’s all right. We have a number of talented writers who would be happy to conduct an interview and share your story on your behalf.
Our hope is that you will be inspired to share your story in some way this year. Get excited about what God is doing in your life. Share that excitement!
