Last year, Northstar put a float in two local Christmas Parades, which was not only an absolute blast for those who were a part of it, but it also drew folks from the community in who are now a part of our Northstar family. This year we will be participating in three local parades:
- Pulaski Christmas Parade – Thursday December 6th at 7:00pm (line up begins at 6pm)
- Blacksburg Christmas Parade – Friday December 7th at 7:00pm (line up begins at 6pm)
- Christiansburg Christmas Parade – Friday December 14th at 7:00pm (line up begins at 6pm)
The primary goal for this opportunity is to share the “gift” we have as believers with anyone along the parade routes. We will hand out candy canes attached to a card that will direct people to our website. Our prayer is that the Lord will use this simple tool to draw His people back to Him through Northstar.
There are two ways you can help out:
- FLOAT CONSTRUCTION/DECORATION: We will begin construction on the float on Saturday November 17th at the Lancaster House. PARADE ROUTE WALKERS: We want to have as many people possible follow the float along each of the parade routes handing out the candy canes, and visibly loving the people they see. If you are interested in participating, sign up on one or more of the links above for each individual parade. Someone will follow up with you as each parade date draws closer for more details.
