Ellen, Dave and Seb Cianelli with the 2018-2019 ACC Trophy

Last weekend, the Hokie Men’s Track & Field team won the ACC championship under the leadership of Coach Dave Cianelli. We thankful for Dave as he models servant leadership and humility in his role as coach.!

From HokieSports.com:

The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced Friday afternoon that Virginia Tech director of track and field and cross country Dave Cianelli won the 2019 Southeast Region Men’s Coach of the Year during the indoor.

This is the 16th time that he has won the honor in his 18 years at Virginia Tech. This year, Cianelli led the men’s team to its fifth ACC indoor title, as Tech and Florida State both scored 117 points to share the title. That title marked the 14th overall for Virginia Tech track and field and cross country programs since the school joined the ACC for the 2004-05 season.
