On May 2, the men of Northstar will be gathering together in a unique way! The event has been adjusted to fit within the guidelines that are in existence due to the COVID-19 crisis. The vision is encourage men to get together on May 2, but to limit groups to 3 or less. Some ideas would be:
- Get outside and do something exercise related – walk in your neighborhood, walk on the Huckleberry Trail, walk around campus.
- Meet for coffee if you’re not inclined to do something cardiovascular (small groups only).
- Use a virtual meeting application if you’re not inclined to get out (no size limit!)
Many of the men at Northstar are already in the loop, but if you haven’t heard anything about the event yet and you are interested in being a part, please email Brian Lindamood and he will get you connected!
For this event we ask that you spend some time in prayer – for health care professionals and others on the front lines of the coronavirus fight, for the church staff as they negotiate the challenges of spiritual development in virtual environments, and for each other as we take time to reflect and renew. Then read and discuss these men-focused scriptural references (Prov 27:17, I Cor 16:13, II Cor 4:16, James 1:19-20). As part of the discussion explain how these scriptures call on/encourage/challenge men in their walk with the Lord.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to get to know some other men at Northstar!
