If you answered yes to the above questions, you are encouraged to consider becoming a caregiver with Northstar’s Stephen Ministry.
Stephen Ministry is a care giving ministry, equipping people to provide confidential, one-on-one, Christ-centered care to members who are experiencing difficulties in their lives. It is a great way of extending Christ’s love and support to those who are hurting and in need of someone to come alongside them.
After receiving the initial training, caregivers can expect to receive ongoing group supervision and will be carefully and prayerfully matched with care receivers by gender and pertinent life experiences. Your time commitment after the training would entail meeting with one care receiver a week for approximately one hour and attending the group supervision sessions to be held on Sunday mornings.
Northstar will hold our three-day Stephen Ministry caregiver training in January.
