Our church’s motto is Don’t go to church. Be the church. Our leadership wanted to demonstrate our commitment to that vision through a special day of community involvement and service. We are calling it BE’N’GO Sunday.
There will be NO CHURCH SERVICES this week!
This Sunday, September 17, our small groups will be engaged in dozens of projects and events of practical service and joyful relationship-building. From emergency room prayers to landscaping for schools to cleaning up after the Hokie Half, Northstar will focus on being the church in the New River Vally.
If you’re not involved in a small group and would like to participate, here’s what you can do:
- Show up at Blacksburg Middle School at 9:00 a.m. There are 2-3 projects there that are available for you – from stuffing gift bags for teachers to landscaping help.
- Get a group of friends together and create your own service project and let us know about it!
- If you need an idea, consider providing a bucket for hurricane relief. More details.

Our regular Sunday services (9:00 & 11:00 a.m.) will resume on Sunday, September 24.
