Blacksburg Summers – Concerts on the Lawn

Blog

Blacksburg Townies!

Do you ever find yourselves wondering what to do for fun on a Friday evening in the town of Blacksburg? Of course, there’s the excitement of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! on the television at home. But what if it just happens to be a beautiful evening, like we have experienced for the last couple of Friday evenings?

If you can, you’re encouraged to head to downtown Blacksburg for Friday Night Outdoor Concerts on Henderson Lawn. Bring a lawn chair or spread out a blanket on the ground and enjoy live music from artists representing a number of diverse musical genres! You can even grab dinner at one of the many delicious downtown options and bring it with you! And who could say no to a little after concert dessert at the Frosty Parrot?

These Friday night concerts are not only a way for you to find an evening of entertainment. They are also another chance for you to find fellowship with other Northstar folks, as well as turn a few strangers into new friends! And, bonus, bringing a non-church friend to a concert is a way to mark off one of the squares on your Northstar Summer BE ‘N’ GO card! (Hint: It’s under the G!)

We are already coming up on the third Friday of this concert series, so don’t miss out on what’s to come! Click here to find out more about the concerts and see the schedule for what bands and artists are playing throughout the summer!
