“Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead!” (Luke 24:6)
Easter is the highlight of our faith. On Easter we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and reflect upon His betrayal, arrest, crucifixion and death. His death means life for all those who turn to Jesus! We cannot emphasize enough how important this time of year is for our joy and also to help encourage faith in others.
Northstar’s schedule for our church services for Passion Week will be as follows:
- April 5 is Palm Sunday! Our service will be online at 10:00 a.m. This Sunday is a joyful time of worship that looks back to Jesus’ final, triumphal entry into Jerusalem (Matthew 21:1-17; Mark 11:1-11; Luke 19:29-40; John 12:12-19). [Watch it here.]
- April 10 is Good Friday! This service will be 7:00 p.m. online. It is designed for your reflection on the crucifixion. We will be hosting our first online communion event . Watch this video for instructions:
- April 12 is Easter Sunday! Our service will be online at 10:00 a.m..

Help us spread the news in the New River Valley!
- Invite your friends, neighbors, and coworkers to watch our service, and then follow up with them.
- Make sure to take a picture of yourself watching the service and tag it on social media with #dontgobeaster.
A personal invitation – even to an online service or small group has a significant likelihood of someone taking a step closer to understanding how much God loves them through Jesus.
