Help Fight Human Trafficking

August 7, 2019

Did you know that there are more slaves today than any other time during recorded history?

You may think that human trafficking is just something that happens outside of the United States, but unfortunately it happens here, and happens much closer to home than you may think.

Join us on August 14 at 6:00 p.m. at the Reserve to learn more about what human trafficking is, what trafficking is not, and how you and your families can prevent trafficking in our communities and schools. Let’s get educated so that together we can prevent and END human trafficking!

The evening will be hosted by our very own Stephanie Montana. Stephanie is a Virginia Tech graduate who spent a year after graduation oversees in Manila, Philippines interning for International Justice Mission. While there, her staff worked on cases of the online sexual exploitation of children. She currently works at VT at the Cranwell International Center as an International Student Advisor and is very passionate about seeing the end of human trafficking.

*This presentation will cover topics that may not be suited for
all age groups. Middle and high schoolers are invited and
encouraged to attend with permission from their parents.*

When: August 14 at 6:00 p.m.
Where: The Northstar Reserve

There will be light refreshments. We hope to see you there for an evening of education and understanding. One day we pray we see an end to all human trafficking.
