We have many associations when we think of the idea of a home. A warm place to relax, having a good meal, spending quality time with family and being refreshed.
We love the many college students at Northstar and are always looking for new ways to support and help them Be the Church. While college students have a place to live, most do not experience the blessing of a true home while they are away at school.
The goal of Home Away from Home is to minister to college students simply by providing a home-cooked meal in the home of one of our Northstar families once a month or so. It’s a fun, intentional time of fellowship with a family and a place to relax from the demands of classes.
If you are a College student, we want you to experience the blessing of spending time with a family from our church family in their home. It’s a simple meal, and we encourage you to bring a friend. Fill out our interest form so that we can invite you to a meal in a home!
