Meet the GAP Leadership: Stephanie Gamble

Blog, GAP

steph-gambleEach week, GAP will be introducing their leadership team in a collection of blogs! This week we introduce Stephanie Gamble!

Hello, I’m Stephanie Gamble, and I am the Events Coordinator for Northstar GAP.
I am from Marietta, Georgia, which is a little outside of Atlanta, where I lived until moving here to Virginia. I went to Georgia Tech for my undergraduate degree and graduated in 2013 with a BS in Applied Mathematics and a minor in Chemistry. In 2014, I moved to Blacksburg to begin graduate school in the Math Department at Virginia Tech. Last spring I finished my Master’s Degree and am now beginning the PhD program here.
When I first moved here, I heard about the GAP group at Northstar and decided to find out more about it. I ended up joining a small group where I made a lot of great friends which helped me settle into this new town where I knew basically no one. I am really grateful for the GAP community, and I felt like I wanted to give back and so in 2015 I began getting involved with helping to plan events for GAP.
When I have free time from school stuff, I like hiking and camping, doing crafty things, and sleeping. I also love dogs. My dog Nick is the best!
One of my favorite passages of Scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.”
