On September 11th, John Gratto will lead the men of Northstar through a discussion of the book Man in The Mirror.
John Gratto is an assistant professor of educational leadership at Virginia Tech following a 23-year career as a superintendent of schools in New York State. When he is not working, he enjoys bicycling, playing basketball, and hiking as well as traveling throughout the U.S.
John has a passion for helping men to be devoted followers of Christ, strong fathers, and wise, loving husbands. Toward that end, he has previously led studies at NorthStar about “Disciplines of a Godly Man” and the books of I and II Peter as well as the book of James.

Hello and welcome,
You are invited to take part in a book study about The Man in the Mirror: Solving the 24 Problems Men Face.
It is easy for men to immerse themselves in work, their families, and recreation while remaining spiritually stagnant and living as isolated islands devoid of any real friendships and accountability. Therefore, I encourage men to participate with me in the book study of “The Man in the Mirror” as a means of helping them be better husbands and fathers, find more contentment at work, handle finances better, develop stronger friendships, manage time better, and live a life of integrity, etc.
The study will be Friday mornings at 6:30 a.m. at the church offices at 200 Country Club Road in Blacksburg, starting September 11th. Coffee will be on at 6:15 a.m.
