Virginia Tech has an estimated 4-5% International undergraduate students, and the percentage is much higher for graduate students. The most common countries represented are China, Saudi Arabia and India.
This presents us with an outstanding opportunity — to love these students with the hope of the gospel even though we would likely never be able to go to their country.
Northstar has partnered with Cru’s Bridges team to serve these International students by teaching them English and sharing our culture. The commitment is only 1 hour per week to meet with a student and there is a large number of International students just waiting to get paired up with an American!
