When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God.   – Acts 4:24a NIV

Who We Are:

Moms in Prayer International

Would you like to build friendships with other ladies and spend time in prayer together? Moms in Prayer is a safe, comfortable place to do this!

Our name has moms in it, but you do not have to be a mom to join us! You just have to be a lady with a heart for praying for a specific child. We pray for all ages of children, preschool up to college.

What We Do:

We gather together every other week and devote one hour to praying for our children, their teachers, schools and each other. During our time we follow the Four Steps of Prayer as outlined by Moms in Prayer International. These include:

  1. Praise
  2. Silent Confession
  3. Thanksgiving
  4. Intercession

Our prayer time also includes reading and praying scripture over our children, their teachers and their schools. Inserting of our child’s name into God’s word is so powerful. Fern Nichols, the founder of Moms in Prayer, says this, as we pray, placing our child’s name in the verse, the power of God’s Word drives our anxiety and fear and produces faith in us. (Nichols, 15)

What Moms are Saying about MIP:

It has been a huge joy to already see fruit coming out of time committed in prayer not only for my child but for other people’s children we have prayed for. God is faithful in hearing us!

-Julie Jewell

MIP has been a peaceful, quiet haven for me to be able to focus my prayers for my children. It has reminded me of God’s sovereignty and His purposes for me and my family, shifting my focus away from the noisiness of the world. I come because it’s biblical, I come because I felt called to, I come to serve my family, and the more I come the more I anticipate each meeting. It has become a blessing to have this peaceful, purposeful time of prayer set aside for me.
