In January Northstar launched the hashtag #100Sundays on social media. It was intended to be a fun informational countdown about the Immeasurably More campaign and preparation for our new facilities. After applications were made to local banks for loans, we learned that we would need to approach our financing in a different way. This led to what might be called a pause button in the process. So the team has paused to update the church, hear from the church body, look at some creative adjustments and options, and most of all we paused to remind ourselves what trusting the Lord in this process looks like. As a result, we began monthly prayer times for the campaign and church.

That being said, December 2018 is now a little less realistic as an occupancy date goal. Aaron Peck, Northstar’s own Czar of Creativity had fun with this a couple weeks ago when he changed the weekly #100Sundays post to #100ishSundays. Instead of continuing a weekly post with the “ish” we will hit the pause button on the hashtag campaign as the building team considers options. Once we have a better sense of the updated timetable, we will pick back up around the 80 Sundays to go mark.

Times of waiting and pausing are often incredible times of hearing from and being refreshed by the Lord, so please continue to join us in prayer about Immeasurably More. Pray for unity and clarity for the building team this week as they learn more about and consider a hopeful financing option. Please pray about ways you can serve and give as well. We welcome more people on the five sub-teams (Finance, Fundraising, Building, Prayer, and Communication) so let Jeff Noble, Neal Nelson, or Jim Rancourt know if you are interested in one those sub-teams and want to learn more.

We have enjoyed a time of obvious momentum in the early days of the building process, and it has been a joy to watch God do immeasurably more. May we be just as in awe of Him and expectant of His work in these pause button days.
