Almost a month ago Immeasurably More team leaders sat down with several contractor candidates to discuss Design-Build RFP and begin the process of discerning who will walk with us through the process of building our new ministry center. I am not as smart as you and had to guess what RFP stood for:

  • Religiously Focused Palace (Perhaps what builders call church projects?)
  • Really Funny Pastor (That can’t be right – have you heard Jeff’s jokes?)

You, astute reader, likely already know that RFP means Request for Proposal, a process which expresses some of our expectations about the parameters of the project and invites contractors to express their expectations and parameters in their proposal of what they would do if they were chosen as contractor. With the number of experts there from several different companies, one of the most interesting aspects for me was inviting more ears and more voices into the process.

In the Immeasurably More process we desire to have the ears and the voices of Northstar folks really engaged. Adding ears and voices from outside Northstar will be a great process and in that process our lead leaders will all the more need wisdom and discernment. The next few weeks are key. There are critical decisions ahead. So Northstar friends, keep adding your ears and voices to the process, but keep at the forefront adding your prayers. Will you join us in praying regularly for Immeasurably More and the clarity needed to consider, choose, and lead well?
