Since the beginning of the Immeasurably More campaign, we’ve been amazed at the regular, proportional gifts of our members and attenders. Whether it’s the college student who gives $20 a month or a family giving $200 a month, we’ve witnessed God provide for our future ministry facility.
We now have over $2.2 million in the bank! That milestone was achieved this week upon the receipt of a grant in the amount of $116,000 from the National Christian Foundation. We are so grateful for how God is providing!
Here are some other significant milestones:
- Our Alumni Give Back initiative has resulted in more than 15 new pledges for 2018 to the campaign! (If you’re a former member/attender, please go to www.dontgo.be/alumni and fill out the interest form there.)
- We just concluded our audit, and the initial report is excellent. We have been given the preliminary assurance that our financing path will be ready later this year.
- The IM team will be sending out RFPs (Request For Proposals) to at least five different contractors in the next few days! This exciting new phase will involve reviewing bids, interviews and eventual selection of the contractor who will build the ministry center.
- The identification of a contractor will lead us into our VE phase (value engineering) in which we will reconcile our budget ($6 million) with our drawings/blueprints.
- Our team has also revised our timeline. If all proceeds well through the general contractor (GC) selection process and the VE stage, we believe we’ll see construction begin in August!
What’s next? Prayer, giving and communication
We are definitely entering a new phase of our Immeasurably More campaign. We hope you’ll be committed to prayer, consistent in giving and generous in communicating with others about our project and goals.
In the next few weeks, we’ll be recruiting new team members for the Immeasurably More team. We need people in the following areas:
- Writers/bloggers, photographers, videographers – Communication Team
- Passion and interest in prayer – Prayer Team
- Networkers, outgoing personalities – Fundraising Team
- Construction experience, building experience – Building Team
If you’re interested in any of these areas, please contact Jim Rancourt.
- If you have become a part of Northstar since the campaign launched in 2015, please prayerfully consider making a pledge/commitment for 2018. Here’s the link for more information.
