“Rid of My Disgrace” – Interest Meeting

August 29, 2019

The #MeToo movement of recent years has placed a cultural spotlight on the prevalence of sexual abuses that have affected so many. While there is solace in solidarity, the process of healing can be very private. How should our faith as Christians inform how we respond to and view these violations, whether we have personally experienced them or we love someone who has?

If you or someone you know has been victimized by sexual abuse or assault, you are invited to join us for an 8-week study that will examine the answer to that question. This fall, Teresa Nelson and Megan Evans will be leading a discussion group for women based on the book Rid of My Disgrace by Justin & Lindsey Holcomb.

If you are 18 years or older and would like to participate, we ask that you make plans to attend an interest meeting on September 15 at 3:00 p.m. at the Northstar Ministry Center. At this meeting, we will give a brief introduction to the book and determine the best meeting time and place. To RSVP or if you would like additional information, email Megan Evans.
