Soup Lunch for Prices Fork Elementary

November 22, 2016

soupThe second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.                                                                                                 -Mark 12:31

We have a lot of people we consider our neighbors, but soon Prices Fork Elementary will be our next door neighbor once the new Northstar Ministry Center is complete.

We want to begin building a positive relationship with our new neighbor and show them the love of Christ in practical ways. We began doing this by making small goody bags for the teachers at Prices Fork at the beginning of the school year just to show them some love. You can read more about that here.

In November, the Prices Fork PTA reached out to Northstar asking for help in providing soup for the teachers during a teacher appreciation luncheon. We were honored to be asked to help in this way. Several families from Northstar signed up to provide a crockpot of soup and bread. It turned out to be a great spread!

The principal as well as several teachers wrote thank you emails and asked for copies of the recipes. Thank you Northstar for being the church and loving on the hardworking teachers, staff and administration at Prices Fork Elementary.
