Each year as we approach Easter, our kids take the time to remember the story of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. For the kids, a key moment in the story comes as Jesus rides through the crowd on a donkey as they wave palm branches and sing praises. For the third consecutive year, Northstar Kids was able to bring in two miniature donkeys in an effort to help our students make modern connections to the Jesus they learn about week after week. As the kids were able to see and pet the donkeys, they connected to Jesus’ story that they had just heard. The donkeys were a huge hit! We are so thankful for our friends Sarah Eyre and Jason Todd from Top Hats & Longears Farm in Riner for bringing our special guests.
