BIGsmallGroup is our summer small group format, and we love the change of pace! It gives everyone in our church an opportunity to come together, meet one another, and focus on strategic opportunities in our blessed Blacksburg summers (aka no traffic or lines at Chipotle!).
As our staff met to dream and plan for this year’s BSG experience, we wanted to be strategic and help our church family focus on relationships and influence. Our vision is for this summer to have FUN and be intentional to connect with your friends and neighbors.
Join us for our BSG Launch on Wednesday, June 5 at Blacksburg Christian Fellowship. We’re going to present a four-part strategy for being the church this summer centered in Colossians 4:2-6:
- Pray
- Watch
- Declare
- Live
We will meet two other times over the summer to reinforce our vision and celebrate early stories of how God is working – June 19 and July 10.
Only three times? What about the rest of the summer?
In between our gatherings, we want to encourage you to “have fun!” Imagine a bowling group, sand volleyball or corn hole tournaments, a weekly kids’ playdate at the park, a small group Bible study in your home, a meal out each week with co-workers, a neighborhood social, etc. Whatever you can imagine enjoying doing, we want to encourage you to it.
The goal is to simply… be the church this summer.
