Welcome to This Week in Children’s Ministry, the part of the Northstar website where we take a look at what the kids are learning on Sunday morning and keep you up to date with what’s coming up and what your family can begin looking forward to!
Jumpstart
- This week, our Jumpstart kids were in the book of Acts and began learning about this month’s Life App: Determination. They listened to the story of how Peter and John were arrested for proclaiming Jesus’ name. Despite being thrown in jail, these men were determined to hold on to their faith in Jesus!
- Bottom Line – Keep going even when it gets hard.
- This week, help your kids learn what it means to persevere when things aren’t easy.

Bloom
- In our Bloom classrooms, our kids heard the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. They knew it was wrong to bow down to a statue of the king and when they refused to do as the king commanded, he threw them into the fire! But God was with them and He took care of them, keeping them safe.
- Bottom Line – God’s got it.
- This week, talk with your kids about what it looks like when they do the right thing.
