The Northstar worship team is looking for volunteers! The worship leaders, musicians, and the tech team are all Northstar members that give of their time and talents to help lead our congregation in musical worship. We are always looking for more people to join! Whether you play an instrument, sing, or are interested in helping to run sound and/or projection, we would love to meet you! There will be an interest meeting held on Sunday, February 11 at 10:30 a.m. in the library at Blacksburg Middle School.
There will be a light breakfast and a super short presentation about the team and Northstar Worship in general. You won’t be signing up for anything or making any commitment whatsoever! We would simply love to meet you, feed you, and give you some basic information. We will be done in time for you to attend the 11:00 a.m. service.
If you have ANY interest in being a part of the worship or tech team at Northstar, but don’t know what it entails and aren’t sure you’d be able to commit, this is the perfect opportunity for you! If you’ve expressed some interest, but haven’t played with the band yet, plan to be there! It will be a great chance to learn some more about the team.
Though we have been blessed with an incredibly gifted group of musicians and other volunteers, we can always use more! Some of the main ongoing needs in the worship teams are:
- Electric Guitarists
- Acoustic Guitarists
- Male/Female Vocalists
- Bass Guitarists
- Keyboard Players
- Drummers
- Audio/Projection Volunteers
However, we can and do use musicians that play a wide variety of different instruments. So even if you play an instrument that may not see in a “traditional” worship band, we’d still love to explore how we could involve you!
