Hello Northstar family!
I was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and spent my childhood in a small town near there until I moved to Blacksburg, VA at the start of middle school! I consider Blacksburg home and am thankful that the Lord brought me to such a special place!
I just finished my freshman year at Christopher Newport University where I am studying Mathematics to pursue a masters in teaching! I absolutely love it at CNU but the people and place of Blacksburg still hold such a special place in my heart.
I am someone who enjoys spontaneity and am all for adventures. I love exploring new places, hiking, running, walking, swimming… let’s just say anything outdoors. I also love worship and music and have the privilege of leading others in worship at Northstar and at my church’s student ministry back in Newport News. I also love anything and everything crafty and or creative expression!
I knew going into my freshman year that I wanted to serve His Kingdom through youth ministry but didn’t think it would happen much later in my college experience. The Lord had other plans and drew me to a youth ministry through which I was able to experience the radical ways the Lord works in the student’s hearts, as well as my heart through walking alongside one another in life and ministry. This fire that the Lord lit inside my heart was not put out as He provided me another opportunity at my home church in Blacksburg to serve. I am so excited for this summer and to continue the good work the Lord has begun in my heart and invest in the youth of Northstar church and further His Kingdom. The Lord has been so faithful to me and I am most excited to see how He works this summer in the midst of all the growing relationships, summer activities and FUN!
